According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/news\/neil-young-expands-pono-digital-to-analog-music-service-20120927#ixzz28rDXw800\">Rolling Stone<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Beginning next year, Pono will release a line of portable players, a music-download service and digital-to-analog conversion technology intended to present songs as they first sound during studio recording sessions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Young writes about his passion for how music should sound <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neilyoung.com\/NeilYoungWagingHeavyPeaceExcerpt.pdf\">in this excerpt<\/a> from his new autobiography Waging Heavy Peace.<\/p>\n<p>Making good music is not the only area of interest for Young. He is involved in an alternative fuel project called <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lincvolt.com\/\">Lincvolt<\/a>\u00a0in which his 1959 Lincoln was converted to an electric car.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/od3TBnG4YZg\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When he learned that Lionel Trains was struggling financially, he helped with support. \u00a0But he has also gone beyond just being a backer: he has developed a new sound system and, in order to share his love of trains with his severely disabled son, created <a href=\"http:\/\/thrasherswheat.org\/tfa\/trains-neil-young-1993.htm\">special<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/fatherhoodchannel.com\/2010\/09\/22\/daddy-is-a-rock-star-neil-youngs-big-red-button\/\">devices<\/a> that allow him to operate the trains.<\/p>\n<p>Each year, he sponsors a special benefit concert for <a href=\"http:\/\/bridgeschool.org\/index.php\">The Bridge School<\/a>, founded by his wife to serve children with severe speech and physical impairments.<\/p>\n<p>Young&#8217;s passion is inspirational.
